Race Against Childhood Cancer

HISTORY OF ZACK'S RUN

The Race to End Childhood Cancer [Zack’s Run? Confirm w/ Joy.] is a fun, challenging event open to all runners who want to help the Foundation support kids with cancer and their families. We held our first race on September 17th, 2000, at the University of Maryland. A successful first year for a charity race usually brings out between 175 and 250 runners. We had 719 individuals that participated!

Zack’s Run – The Race to End Childhood Cancer has become a highly-anticipated, well-attended annual event.

THIS YEAR'S RUN

In addition to the 5K, attendees can participate in a 1-mile fun run and take part in the post-race celebration. The Hebda Foundation also hosts a bone marrow drive in conjunction with the race. Matching donors for bone marrow transplants is absolutely critical to treating certain cancers – please consider becoming a donor at our next race!
