The Race to End Childhood Cancer, Zack’s Run, is a fun, challenging event open to all runners who want to help the Foundation support kids with cancer and their families. We held our first race on September 17th, 2000, at the University of Maryland. A successful first year for a charity race usually brings out between 175 and 250 runners. We had 719 individuals that participated!
Zack’s Run – The Race to End Childhood Cancer has become a highly-anticipated, well-attended annual event.
The 2021 Race Against Childhood Cancer – Zack’s Run will be held virtually this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. This year things will be a little different – register for the race and then run your virtual version of the Race Against Childhood Cancer – Zack’s Run between now – 3 October 2021.
We would love to see your photos of how you ran, walked, biked for the cure. We will post your photos to our FaceBook event site and after the race closes we will mail your race shirt.
Thank you for adapting with us! September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month – let’s make a difference together!
UPDATE: Race Shirts have been ordered! Like many things this year supply chain issues are slowing things down, but as soon as we receive the shirts they will be mailed out! Thank you all for making the 2021 Virtual Event such a success!
Thank you to our event sponsors. We could not hold this event without their support. If you are interested in sponsoring this important event, please contact Joy Neal at joyneal@comcast.net.
